began in 1998 when the founder Vid Raatior, a native of Micronesia, worked for an Oakland-based non-profit organization that focused on the leadership development of school-based youth activists. His team of high school activists needed to expand their reach through a website, but couldn’t afford to hire a professional web designer. Untaunted, Vid taught himself and successfully designed their website. That led him to start Atawe Design to empower Micronesian non-profits and small businesses. Read more >>

We recently switched to using the robust capabilities of the WordPress open source as a content management system for our clients because it offers reliable ways for them to manage their own websites without paying for expensive proprietary software.
